Yemen-German Cooperation Days – Celebrating international cooperation and outlook towards the future

Over three days, experts will discuss international cooperation opportunities with Yemen,
environmental impacts in Yemen and conservation and biodiversity on Socotra — bringing together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, civil societies, and other relevant stakeholders.

PROGRAMME
• Wednesday 23 Sept (at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Berlin) – Panel Discussion
MENA region, with emphasis on Yemen – separate event and registration (see below)
• Thursday 24 Sept (at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen, Berlin) – Panels on
environmental policy with representatives from the German and Yemeni governments,
sustainable investment & ecotourism, international presentations on ongoing projects
on ecosystems, awareness and conservation in the Socotra Archipelago, roadmap session
• Friday 25 Sept (at the Botanical Garden, Berlin) – Friends of Socotra AGM (morning).
Guided Tour at the Botanical Garden Berlin (afternoon; limited number)

Additionally, the Soqotra exhibition of the German-Yemen Association (DJG)will be shown at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen, Berlin.

The main language used during the Yemen-Germany Cooperation Days Berlin will be English; Arabic translation will be provided on Thursday and Friday.
